Here at Audi Columbia, we're proud to be the Irmo and Florence, SC area's home for world-class, luxury Audi models. We carry the full lineup of premium models from Audi, and we happily recommend them to all of our friends and neighbors.

But, we understand that there are many competing carmakers vying for your attention. So, we've take one of our most popular Audi models and pit it against a strong competitor, to illustrate for you all the ways Audi makes a superior vehicle over other car companies.

Side-By-Side Comparison

The Audi A4 is an iconic model for our favorite luxury carmaker, as is the BMW 3 Series. Both models have amassed a following of loyal fans over the past few decades, and both are available in your choice of either a sedan with available all-wheel drive, or a wagon with standard all-wheel drive.

But, despite their similarities, these two models have a lot of differences as well. If you're curious about how our Audi A4 compares to the BMW 3 Series when it comes to quality, power, and features, let Audi Columbia help.

Audi A4 Power & Performance vs. the BMW 3 Series

Just as both of these models offer two different body styles to choose from, they both also have a range of engine options. However, the Audi gives you more power than the BMW in a variety of ways. For example, the standard engine for the Audi A4 is a 252-horsepower four-cylinder, while the base engine for the 3 Series is only rated for 180 horsepower. However, the BMW does have a 320-horsepower option in the mix, but, you'll have to move all the way up to the top trim to get it.

Audi A4 Size & Ground Clearance vs. the BMW 3 Series

Regardless of whether you choose the Audi A4 in a sedan or a wagon, your vehicle will have greater ground clearance and a little more length than the BMW 3 Series. Added ground clearance means better stability over bumps and potholes on Columbia, SC roads, and more length equals more space. In fact, the Audi A4 Allroad wagon is about five inches longer than the BMW 3 Series wagon. This gives the Audi a cargo hold that can accommodate more than 24 cubic feet of gear, while the BMW cargo area only holds 17.5 cubic feet.

Audi A4 Standard Features vs. BMW 3 Series

If you're interested in the base trim, entry-level model for either of these cars, the Audi A4 will net you more tech and safety features right out of the gate than the BMW 3 Series. In fact, the entry-level Audi comes with automatic xenon headlights, an automatically-dimming rearview mirror, frontal collision mitigation and warning, heated power front seats, and a sunroof. The entry-level BMW 3 Series model doesn't come with any of those great features, and, in fact, drivers have to move up trim levels or add on special packages, at extra expense, just to get them.
