It requires the highest possible "Good" rating for all crashworthiness assessments, a forward collision mitigation system scoring "Advanced" or "Superior," and available headlights rated "Acceptable" or "Good." The additional "plus" (+) is reserved for vehicles that come standard with "Good" rated headlights.
