Intelligent Utility For Any Climate In the All-New 2018 Audi Q7!

With 217 days of average sunshine a year in our area of South Carolina, those in search of a three-row premium SUV may not have as much need for an all-weather option as those in colder states. But that’s no reason to pass up the impressive 2018 Audi Q7. All-new just last year, the four rings has taken its reputation for being among the more fun-to-drive and flexible three-row utilities, and built on it with more value and intelligent features.

Those who want a three-row SUV expect spacious accommodations, and the 2018 Q7 won’t let you down. In fact, you might find more than you expect when you slide behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel, as the upholstery is standard even on the base model. With comfortable seating for seven, and a maximum 71.6 cu-ft of cargo volume, the Q7 boasts versatile accommodations for whomever, or whatever your next adventure or errand calls for. Standard three-zone climate control, heated seats, and Audi MMI, not to mention premium audio and impressive convenience amenities on the options sheet only add to the Q7’s enticing persona.

But where you’ll find nothing to quibble with in the Q7’s interior design and treatment, customers shopping for a family model that emphasizes safety also have their bases covered. Standard on every model is Audi’s pre sense city and basic suite, with automatic braking, collision warning, and the ability to prime the car to lessen the impact of an otherwise unavoidable obstacle. But more systems are available, including parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and active lane assistance.

Remember how we said our average annual sunshine and inch of snow per year meant all-wheel drive probably wasn’t your priority? That would hold true if we were talking about the competition. The standard quattro AWD on the Q7 does more than get you moving. It’s designed to prevent traction loss before it occurs, and also aid in vehicle stability and overall performance by putting power to the axles with the most grip. So not only does it have you covered on slippery autumn leaves or wet roads, but when you want to toggle Drive Select to Dynamic to have a bit of fun, that’s just what you’ll get.

The Q7 offers two engines—a turbocharged inline-four with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque that can tow 4,400 lbs., or a supercharged V6 with 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque with a best-in-class tow rating of 7,700 lbs. You can have both on Premium and Premium Plus models, but only the V6 can be found on the top-shelf Prestige. That model also opens up the impressive Adaptive Air Suspension, which we recommend not just for its added comfort, but flexible ride height adjustment.
